DJ LeMahieu May Hit Better In Game 2
DJ LeMahieu can help out a little more in Game 2. LeMahieu has been ice cold recently as he's just two for his last 21, but he has a history of hitting pretty well against Friday starter Jhoulys Chacin. In his career, LeMahieu is 4-for-10 against the Game 2 starter, including breaking up a no-hit bid when Chacin played for the Padres. Obviously, it's a small sample size, but the Rockies are looking for any glimmer of offensive hope that they can find right now.

DJ LeMahieu Coming Off Injured List On Monday
DJ LeMahieu (calf) from the 10-day injured list ahead of Monday's series opener against the Seattle Mariners, according to Newsday's Erik Boland. It's unclear if LeMahieu will be in uniform in Seattle, but he has now rejoined the team as he looks to make his 2025 season debut. The 36-year-old veteran has yet to make his season debut due to a calf strain that he suffered in spring training, and he was recently set back by a hip ailment. In nine minor-league rehab games, the former two-time batting champion and three-time All-Star went 12-for-27 with a home run. The Yankees will most likely ease LeMahieu back into game action at the big-league level, but he could see notable playing time at second base in the Bronx with Jazz Chisholm Jr. (oblique) out for an extended period. The oft-injured LeMahieu is looking to bounce back after hitting .204 in 67 games in 2024.

DJ LeMahieu Could Return Later This Week
DJ LeMahieu (calf) is set to play in rehab games at Triple-A on Tuesday and Wednesday and could be cleared to return to the majors over the weekend. The 36-year-old has been sidelined due to a calf strain but has also been dealing with a hip injury. LeMahieu has appeared in six rehab games with Double-A Somerset and held an impressive .438/.500/.688 slash line. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on his progress with Triple-A as he could be cleared to make his regular-season debut later this week. Last season, LeMahieu was limited by injuries, too, and appeared in just 67 contests. During this brief stint, he struggled and held a .204/.269/.259 with just two long balls. When he does return, the veteran could carve out a significant role in the starting nine with Jazz Chisholm Jr. (oblique) on the injured list.

DJ LeMahieu Could Start A Rehab Assignment On Tuesday
DJ LeMahieu (calf) could begin a minor-league rehab assignment next Tuesday. LeMahieu tweaked his calf in spring training and was forced to begin the regular season on the injured list, but he's been taking at-bats at extended spring training in Florida and appears to be ready to play in minor-league games. Boone said that the 36-year-old will need a full build-up once he starts his rehab assignment, so the oft-injured LeMahieu almost certainly won't make his 2025 debut for the Yankees in April after missing most of spring training. When LeMahieu does come off the injured list, whenever that may be, he won't be guarantee regular playing time if he's not producing. His best path to playing time in the Bronx will be at the hot corner. The two-time batting champion hit just .204 last year and was limited to 67 games due to injuries.

DJ LeMahieu Could Start Rehab Assignment On Friday
DJ LeMahieu (calf) has rejoined the team in Detroit for their series this week against the Tigers. LeMahieu will work out in Motown for the next three days, and if that goes well, he will start a minor-league rehab assignment on Friday. Given the fact that LeMahieu played in just one spring training game and hasn't yet been cleared for a rehab assignment, we shouldn't expect him to make his 2025 debut in the Bronx until early May. And even when that finally happens, the 36-year-old veteran infielder won't be guaranteed regular at-bats at a corner-infield spot for the Yankees. When he's back with the Yankees, LeMahieu will be competing primarily for playing time at third with Oswaldo Cabrera. The two-time batting champion and three-time All-Star played in only 67 games due to injuries in 2024 and barely hit above the Mendoza Line.
