DJ Chark Showing Versatility
6 years agoJacksonville Jaguars rookie wide receiver DJ Chark is showing his versatility early in his career, and the coaching staff has asked him to learn multiple wide receiver spots while also playing special teams during organized team activities. Special teams will be his most immediate role on the team, and special teams coach Joe DeCamillis is planning to take advantage of Chark's 4.34-second 40-yard dash speed. "Coach Joe D has me at punt returner, kick returner, kickoff [coverage], punt [coverage], the gunner ... By the time we get to training camp, I'll have more of a good idea of where I'll be. I know I'll be somewhere on special teams. I'm just trying to take all the knowledge that I get from these guys and bust my butt every time we get a special teams period, no matter where I'm at on the field." The second-round selection probably won't be much of a factor on offense in his first season behind the likes of Marqise Lee, Donte Moncrief, Rashad Greene, Keelan Cole and Dede Westbrook. Chark can be ignored in redraft leagues.
