Dirk Nowitzki Silent from Behind the Arc
7 years agoDallas Mavericks forward/center Dirk Nowitzki played well enough in 25 minutes of play against the Golden State Warriors. Nowitzki scored 12 points on Wednesday, going 5-for-11 from the field, but was silent from long range, finishing the night shooting 0-for-2 from deep. Though he grabbed eight boards, the veteran was virtually quiet everywhere else, leaving his fantasy owners disappointed after seeing some pretty good performances from him as of late. Though his best days are well behind him, he still remains relatively productive this season, averaging 12 points and nearly six boards in addition to shooting 46 percent from the field and 41 percent from downtown, making him a decent addition to fantasy rosters in deeper leagues, especially in nine-category formats with 12 teams and up. He also makes an efficient DFS option due to his ability to go off on any given night. Dispatch him in DFS contests if the price is right and the matchup is favorable.
