Diontae Johnson Practicing On Thursday
2 months agoCarolina Panthers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (ankle) is practicing on Thursday after missing Wednesday's session with an ankle injury. Despite being a DNP in practice on Wednesday, the Panthers said they fully expect Johnson to suit up for a Week 5 tilt against the Chicago Bears on Sunday. Johnson also battled a groin injury in the Week 4 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Things weren't looking good for Johnson and his fantasy managers after two weeks, but things have changed drastically after the Panthers benched quarterback Bryce Young for veteran Andy Dalton. In the last two games with Dalton running the offense, Johnson has caught 15 of his 27 targets for 205 yards and two touchdowns. The 28-year-old is going to continue seeing high volume with Adam Thielen (hamstring) on Injured Reserve, too. Johnson is a must-start, even against a tough Bears defense. UPDATE: Johnson was limited in Thursday's practice.
