Diontae Johnson Has Quiet Day
5 years agoPittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson caught just one of his five targets for 14 yards in Sunday’s 20-13 win over Cleveland. This wasn’t a great day for the rookie, by any means, despite leading the team in looks. With JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion, knee) out again in Week 13, the Steelers needed more from the Toledo product. If Smith-Schuster can go in Week 14 against the Cardinals, Johnson goes back to being the third or fourth option in a depleted passing attack. Pay attention to the injury reports, but it’s hard to consider Johnson even a deep-league flex option next weekend.
