Dillon Dingler Not Seeing Stable Playing Time
3 months agoDetroit Tigers catching prospect Dillon Dingler has been unable to find stable playing time since joining the major league roster on July 28. In this span, the backstop has only started two games and gone 2-for-9 at the plate with one extra-base hit and a 2:3 BB:K ratio. 29-year-old Jake Rogers has continued to see the majority of starts. However, he holds a .197 AVG with just seven home runs across 68 games. At Triple-A this summer, Dingler posted a stellar .308/.379/.559 slash line with 17 home runs and 52 RBI. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to Dingler's playing time as he could eventually take over starting duties in the Motor City, especially given Rogers' struggles.
