Dillon Brooks Scores 20 Points In Season Debut
3 years agoMemphis Grizzlies guard/forward Dillon Brooks posted a strong 20-point performance during his season debut in a loss to the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday. The 25-year-old returned to the lineup after missing the first 10 games of the season with a broken left hand. Brooks shot 8-for-17 from the field, including 4-for-7 from three-point range. The Oregon product also chipped in with four rebounds, six assists, and two steals during 26 minutes. Brooks' return further complicates the Memphis backcourt, as guards Desmond Bane and De'Anthony Melton have had strong starts to the season. Coach Taylor Jenkins will surely ride the hot hand, and it'll be extremely difficult for all three to have sustained value the entire season.
