Dietrich Enns Notches Second Save Monday
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Dietrich Enns struck out the only batter he faced to earn the save during Monday's 6-4 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. With the bases loaded, he entered the game in the ninth inning to preserve a 6-4 lead. The 30-year-old fanned Breyvic Valera to secure the Rays victory on Monday. Rays' incumbent closer Andrew Kittredge (shoulder) was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday, Enns was brought in for Monday's save opportunity. Enns owns a 3.10 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and a 23:6 K: BB over 20 1/3 innings in 2021. The Rays right-hander continues to have a versatile role in the bullpen and should be rostered in all leagues for the fantasy baseball playoffs.
