Diego Castillo Blows First Save Chance For Seattle
3 years agoSeattle Mariners relief pitcher Diego Castillo came on in the bottom of the 10th inning with a chance for his first save as a member of the Mariners Saturday, but instead he allowed a two-run home run to Jonah Heim that left him with a blown save and a loss. He did not record an out. It's his third blown save in 17 opportunities this season. Castillo has been quite good this year, with a 2.89 ERA and 0.99 WHIP in 39 games, but his value does take a hit coming over from Tampa Bay. He's in no danger of losing his job, however.
