Didi Gregorius Torments Corey Kluber Once Again
6 years agoIn the decisive Game 5 of last season’s ALDS, New York Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius got the best of Cleveland ace Corey Kluber, smashing two home runs off the former Cy Young winner en route to victory. Thursday night, the teams once again did battle in Ohio and Gregorius once again got the best of Kluber. With the Yankees trailing in the third inning, Gregorius drilled a game-tying home run for what would be his only hit of the game. The 28-year-old appears to have successfully escaped the low point of his season, now hitting .288 across his last 30 games. He now has 16 home runs and 49 RBI, possibly lining himself up to post personal bests in both categories.
