Just as hot as New York Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius was in April, he’s been terribly cold in the month of May. The 28-year-old, who hit .330 last month, is hitting .118 this month, including an abysmal .097 over his last 15 games. Of course, this came smack in the middle of his club’s red-hot streak of 17 wins in 18 games, meaning his teammates picked him up in a big way. Regardless, Gregorius and his manager remain confident, with a hit on Saturday helping to ease some jitters during the slump. He’ll continue to play every day, meaning he’ll have every chance in the world to get back into his April form.--RDelgado
