Didi Gregorius’ Home Run Sparks Offense
6 years agoWhile the New York Yankees would wind up winning comfortably against the Kansas City Royals Thursday night, it was the fourth inning that sealed the deal. Holding a two-run lead heading into the frame, the Bronx Bombers benefitted greatly from shortstop Didi Gregorius’ three-run home run in the fourth, doubling their three-run lead. It was one of two hits for the 28-year-old, who entered the game hitting .293 across his last 15 games. The home club won the game, 7-2, trimming their division deficit to 4 1/2 games.
