2 years agoThe Arizona Diamondbacks reinstated left-hander Joe Mantiply (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list on Tuesday and optioned right-hander Luis Frias to Triple-A Reno in a corresponding move. Mantiply should return to a high-leverage role in Arizona's bullpen after needing some time to recover from left shoulder fatigue. The 32-year-old southpaw will be making his 2023 season debut when he gets into a game. He was a first-time All-Star in 2022 in his fifth year in the big leagues. Mantiply was impressive with a career-best 2.85 ERA (2.83 FIP), 1.08 WHIP, two saves, six walks and 61 strikeouts in 60 innings over 69 relief appearances.
