Dexter Fowler Scuffling Through Spring
5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Dexter Fowler has not had a good spring so far. Fowler, who was awful in 2018 before rebounding with an at-least-average 2019, is 1-for-15 so far in Grapefruit League games. Even with the slight bounce back, his 2019 line of .238/.346/.409 wasn't great, and it may be time for the Cardinals to consider someone else for the starting role. For now, it seems like it's Fowler's spot to lose, but unless he can turn things around before Opening Day, he may indeed lose it. The Cardinals have Austin Dean and Lane Thomas ready to go if Fowler takes a seat. He's way too risky to trust in most fantasy formats right now.
