Devontae Booker the Odd Man Out
6 years agoAfter a preseason running back "battle" which wasn't really a battle, Denver Broncos running back Devontae Booker stood out as the odd man out as he watched rookies Royce Freeman and Phillip Lindsay steal the show in the Broncos 27-24 win over the Seahawks. Booker saw just two carries in the game, picking up four yards, and also caught two balls for an additional 11 yards. Meanwhile, the two rookies combined for 30 carries, 142 rushing yards, two receptions, 31 receiving yards and a touchdown through the air. It's still early, but if you drafted Booker, it may already be time to consider swapping him out for Lindsay, who clearly boasts more upside this season and looks to be the No. 2 option at RB behind Freeman.
