Devontae Booker Figures To Lead Running Back Competition
7 years agoWith C.J. Anderson gone, Denver Broncos running back Devontae Booker figures to be the lead back in training camp, with 2017 sixth-rounder De'Angelo Henderson having a chance to be the 1B back. Royce Freeman, drafted in the third round, and David Williams, a seventh-rounder, also figure to see opportunities. Booker failed to impress in his rookie year when Anderson was injured for a good chunk of the season, and he has just a 3.6 yard-per-carry average in 253 attempts through his first two seasons. He has a big opportunity, though, but with a likely committee approach in Denver, Booker's ceiling may be that of an RB3/flex play in deeper leagues.
