Devonta Freeman Rushes For 29 Yards in Ravens Debut
3 years agoBaltimore Ravens running back Devonta Freeman rushed for 29 yards on two attempts in Sunday's 36-35 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. He was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of Sunday's game. The veteran signed with Ravens after the team lost running backs Gus Edwards (knee), J.K. Dobbins (knee), and Justice Hill (knee) to season-ending injuries. Freeman was third on the team in carries behind Ty'Son Williams and Latavius Murray but looked good, rushing for 29 yards on two attempts in his Ravens debut. Fantasy managers should continue to stash Freeman on their roster as he could push Murray for the Ravens RB2 role. Baltimore continues to use a committee limiting the fantasy value of all four Ravens running backs. Freeman is a dart throw in Sunday's matchup against the Detroit Lions and should remain on benches in Week 3.
