5 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman is set to begin the 2019 season as the unquestioned lead back after the departure of Tevin Coleman to San Francisco. 2018 was marred with injuries for the former Seminole, who missed part of last year with knee and groin issues. The veteran back should grab a larger share of the backfield work now that his only competition is Ito Smith, Brian Hill and Qadree Ollison. However, he will face a tough test in Week 1 against a vaunted Vikings Defense that finished last season as the eighth-best fantasy defense. Even with this tough matchup, it would be impossible to imagine benching Freeman. He should have enough volume and opportunities to justify inserting him into your lineups.--Mason Smith
