2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers closer Devin Williams (elbow) was struck in the right elbow by a comebacker in the ninth inning of Saturday's win over the Chicago Cubs. Williams told reporters that "It glanced off but it didn't feel too good. When they came out there, I told them, 'Just let me pitch.' We're going to work on it today and see if I can get it ready." It sounds like the elite closer avoided serious injury but he should still be considered day-to-day for now. If he's experiencing any pain pre-game the Brewers will likely play it safe and give him the day off. Stay tuned for further updates.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
