Devin Williams Earns Second Save Of Season Tuesday
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers relief pitcher Devin Williams picked up his second save of the season in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Reds. Williams entered the game to pitch the ninth inning with a three-run lead and pitched a 1-2-3 inning with a strikeout. The team's closer, Josh Hader (back) was unavailable due to back spasms and is considered day-to-day. Williams has been a solid reliever in the past and has now converted both of his save opportunities with a 3.86 ERA, 17 strikeouts, and eight walks in 9 1/3 innings pitched. Williams will gain fantasy value if Hader ends up missing any time.
