Devante Smith-Pelly Scores In Back-To-Back Contests
Devante Smith-Pelly scored in the final minute of the first frame in Game 4 to cap off a dominant response from Washington, taking control of the game. Smith-Pelly has now scored in consecutive outings, something he didn’t do at all in the regular season. He seems to have a knack for scoring goals in big moments. The 25-year-old scored in Washington’s first postseason game against Columbus, but before that hadn’t tickled the twine since January 31. He now has six goals in the postseason, only one off his regular season total. He’s providing excellent secondary scoring for the Caps, but we don’t know that you can rely on a three-peat.
