Pistons Making A Coaching Change After Firing Monty Williams
5 months agoESPN Senior NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski has reported that the Detroit Pistons will have a new head coach next season after firing Monty Williams on Wednesday. The move is a dramatic turn for the franchise after Williams signed a historic six-year, $78 million contract last year. The 2023-2024 season was difficult for Pistons fans after finishing with a 14-68 record, which was the worst in the entire league. At one point, the team also went on a 28-game regular-season losing streak, which tied an NBA record. Detroit will begin their coaching search with the NBA draft quickly approaching.
