Deshaun Watson Won't Change His Playing Style
6 years agoComing off his second ACL surgery in three years, Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson (knee) says he will not change his playing style at all. “There’s no point in switching up the routine. I’ll stay prepared and stay fit throughout the year, not just in the offseason but throughout the season. I do what I do. I don’t want to change anything that got me here," Watson said. In his rookie season before his injury, he completed 62 percent of his passes for 1,699 yards, 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions, and he also ran for 269 yards and two touchdowns. Watson hasn't gone full speed yet in the offseason, but the team is optimistic he'll be ready for training camp at the end of July. He has upside to be a top-five quarterback in the NFL.
