5 years agoWashington Redskins running back Derrius Guice is set to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1. It will be his first regular-season game action, as the second-year back out of LSU has now completed the long journey back from an ACL tear in 2018. He figures to split work with Adrian Peterson in the ground game, while Chris Thompson is likely to figure into passing downs. The Redskins aren't likely to lean too heavily on any one member of their backfield triumvirate, but Guice especially is a candidate for being eased into the grind. He's best viewed as a low-end RB2 or flex option to start the season.--Chris O'Reilly
