Derrick Pouliot Signs One-Year Deal With Vancouver
6 years agoThe Vancouver Canucks announced on Tuesday that the club had come to terms with defenseman Derrick Pouliot on a one-year, $1.1 million deal. Acquired by the Canucks on Oct. 3, 2017 in exchange for defenseman Andrey Pedan and a 2018 fourth-round draft pick, Pouliot posted 22 points (three goals, 19 assists) to go along with a minus-22 rating, 79 hits and 118 blocks in 71 games last season. Pouliot, taken with the eighth overall pick in the 2012 NHL draft, has never quite lived up to the lofty expectations placed upon him. While he's still only 24 years old, it's hard to imagine the Saskatchewan native blossoming into a fantasy-relevant blue liner next season.
