Derrick Jones Jr. Enjoys Rare Start
5 years agoMiami Heat small forward Derrick Jones Jr. replaced Jimmy Butler (back) in the starting lineup for Sunday's clash with Portland, and he played well, racking up 19 points, six rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and one steal. He shot 8-for-17 from the field while logging a season-high 36 minutes. Jones Jr. is averaging 24 minutes a night for the Heat, so he's actually been a useful bench piece for them. Butler doesn't like missing games, which means that he's likely to return for Wednesday's clash with the Pacers, but if he doesn't, Jones Jr. will have good fantasy value again in all formats.
