Derrick Henry Sets His Asking Price
5 years agoTennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry, who will hit the free-agent market in March, revealed what he is looking for if the Titans don't re-sign him. “Zeke numbers is the floor,” Henry said on “The Rich Eisen Show” about his asking price. Ezekiel Elliott signed a six-year, $90 million contract extension that included $50 million in guaranteed money in 2019. He has led the NFL in rushing twice in his four seasons and has 5,405 yards and 40 touchdowns on 1,169 carries and 189 catches for 1,619 yards and eight touchdowns in his career. Henry led the league in rushing last season with 1,540 yards and 16 touchdowns on 303 carries. He also led the NFL with 446 yards and two touchdowns in the postseason. Henry will get paid by someone going into the 2020 season, but it might not quite equal Elliott money. Either way, Henry will be drafted as an elite RB1 next season, but staying in Tennessee might be the best for his fantasy value.
