Derrick Barnes Signs Three-Deal Extension
1 month agoDetroit Lions linebacker Derrick Barnes has signed a new deal with the organization. The two sides have agreed on a three-year, $25.5 million contract extension. Barnes missed most of the 2024 season due to a season-ending knee injury in Week 3. Despite that, the Lions remain committed to Barnes and have locked him up for the next few seasons. Barnes put together a breakout campaign in 2023 when he recorded 81 tackles and five tackles for loss across 16 games with the Lions. It sounds like Barnes should be fully healed and ready to go for training camp
