Ottawa Senators center Derek Stepan (undisclosed) won't feature Thursday night against the Canucks. Filip Chlapik will play in his place. Defenseman Christian Wolanin (lower body) is also ruled out and has been placed on the injured reserve. Stepan is rated day-to-day, so he likely won't be missing for long. He's desperately in need of a break as well, after posting a minus-seven rating across his last four games. Chlapik will make his first appearance of the season. He had a decent year in the AHL last season with 22 points in 37 games but failed to impress among the big boys, posting only six points in 31 outings.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
