Derek Kraus enters the Enjoy Illinois 300 on a high of sorts. The Kaulig Racing driver qualified 25th for the race on Sunday. Out of his five qualifying efforts at the NASCAR level, his best had been a 26th at Phoenix. That race ended in a crash after 203 laps. Sunday's race is 240 laps in all. The No. 16 car has shown flashes of speed but was only 32nd at 33.754 seconds for the practice session. It is suspected as Stage 2 and the final laps approach, Kraus may lose track position. He lost more than a half second by his 15-lap interval. Expect that trend to continue on Sunday. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
