Derek Hill Launches His First Home Run On Sunday
3 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Derek Hill hit the first home run of his MLB career in Sunday's game against the Cleveland Indians. Facing Indians starter Zach Plesac in the second inning, Hill launched a three-run home run that would be the biggest hit of the day for the Tigers in a game the team lost 7-5. Hill has seen his second tour of the majors this year. Over 27 games, he's slashing .260/.357/.329 with six stolen bases, eight RBI and 13 runs. He's been primarily hitting ninth in the lineup when he's been starting, but he's someone worth watching going forward as he has clear stolen base upside.
