Derek Hill Homers In Monday's Loss
3 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Derek Hill went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in the team's 3-2 loss to the Minnesota Twins on Monday. The 25-year-old has played in 36 games with the Tigers this year and he's slashing .260/.330/.346 with two home runs, six stolen bases, 10 RBI and 15 runs. Hill showed a ton of stolen base potential in the minor leagues. He stole 35 bases over 106 games at High-A in 2018 and he stole 21 bases over 120 games at Double-A in 2019. He has at least a little power potential as well as he has slugged .490 with four home runs over 38 games at Triple-A and Single-A this year. He isn't worth rostering in fantasy leagues at this point, but he has the makings of a player who could warrant a roster spot in rotisserie leagues and head-to-head categories leagues later down the line.
