Derek Carr Throws For Season-High Yardage In Loss
5 years agoOakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr completed 29 of 46 passes for 391 yards as the team fell to the Broncos 16-15 in their season finale. The veteran connected with Hunter Renfrow with seven seconds left for their only score of the game, but disappointingly missed the two-point attempt to seal the victory. Carr wrapped up his season with a career-high 70.4% completion percentage and 4,054 passing yards with 21 touchdowns and eight interceptions in the final season playing in Oakland. The 28-year-old provided a consistent high-floor/low-ceiling fantasy season, but didn't offer enough to be a reliable weekly starter. Carr showed improvement in his second season under Jon Gruden, but what the Raiders choose to do at the quarterback position for 2020 remains up in the air.
