Derek Carr Stalls In Second Half In Week 14 Loss
5 years agoOakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr completed 25 of 34 passes for 263 yards versus the Titans on Sunday, but it wasn't nearly enough to lead the team to victory. He threw for two touchdowns in the first half as the teams went to half time tied 21-21, but failed to find the end zone again resulting in a 42-21 loss. Carr connected with a wide-open Rico Gafford for a 49-yard score but otherwise didn't challenge the Titans Defense downfield often, throwing short to intermediate passes all afternoon. The offense sputtered in the second half, making it clear they missed rookie running back Josh Jacobs. Carr is a risky QB2 option for the final home game in Oakland versus the Jaguars in Week 15.
