Derek Carr Likely Has Shoulder Sprain
1 year agoAccording to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr (shoulder) avoided a "season-ending scenario" after exiting Sunday's game against the Packers. The veteran underwent a "multitude of tests" at a medical facility, revealing no additional damage. However, Carr should miss some time with what is believed to be an AC joint sprain, although his return to the field will be determined by "the swelling and how he gains mobility." As a result, Jameis Winston will likely take over under center. Yet, his presence could negatively impact the fantasy outlooks of Chris Olave, Michael Thomas, and Rashid Shaheed, among others, until Carr returns.
