Derek Carr Getting More Comfortable With Offense
5 years agoOakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is progressing more comfortably in his second season under head coach Jon Gruden. Carr stated, “it’s easier to get through progressions and then get out and extend the play,” which was something he struggled to do last season. The veteran feels more comfortable going out and scrambling when necessary and being more confident in his throws, which is critical for a quarterback to keep the offense moving downfield. The pressure will be on Carr this season to deliver with the new weapons added around him. Having Antonio Brown to make plays and being able to hand the ball off to rookie Josh Jacobs, it could be a make or break year for the 28-year-old. Carr is on the QB2 radar and could easily outperform his ADP if it all comes together for him this season.
