Denzel Mims Returns To Practice Wednesday
1 year agoDetroit Lions wide receiver Denzel Mims (ankle), who missed training camp practice on Tuesday after rolling his ankle last week, is back at practice on Wednesday. After being acquired in a trade with the New York Jets this offseason, Mims is competing this summer for a roster spot in Detroit for the 2023 regular season. The 25-year-old ended up being a big bust in New York after they took him in the second round in 2020. In his three seasons with the Jets, Mims caught just 42 of 92 targets for 676 yards and no touchdowns in 30 games (15 starts). If he does earn a spot on the Lions active roster for the start of the regular season, Mims will be behind the likes of Amon-Ra St. Brown, Josh Reynolds and Marvin Jones Jr., leaving him little opportunity to make an impact in fantasy.
