1 year agoHeading into the weekend, most sportsbooks had Denny Hamlin pegged as the favorite to win Sunday's HighPoint.com 400, and after practice and qualifying on Saturday, they haven't changed their minds. Hamlin is the consensus favorite to win this weekend's race and get his seventh career Pocono win. Technically, he won last year's Cup Series race at this track, but was disqualified and stripped of the win. Looking at similar tracks this season, Hamlin has been strong everywhere and leads the series in percentage of laps ran inside the top-10 (93.20%) as well as top-5 (64.43%) and top-3 (42.37%). He qualified in 8th-place for Sunday's race and was very strong in practice. Look for Hamlin to contend once again at Pocono Raceway.--Jordan McAbee
