Denny Hamlin Takes Backup Car To Second Place
5 years agoJoe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin came up just short at the Foxwoods Resort Casino 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday, settling for second place. He crashed during practice on Friday, and was breaking in a backup car, but the team obviously made plenty of adjustments to get that car in tip-top shape. Hamlin almost raced it to a victory, beating and banging with eventual race winner Kevin Harvick on the final lap. Next up is a trip to Pocono where he finished sixth back on June 2. In 27 career Cup starts he has four wins, 10 top-5 finishes and 17 top-10 runs with a 12.37 Average-Finish Position at the Tricky Triangle.
