1 year agoAlthough there were minor rumblings about Denny Hamlin potentially finding a new race team next season, those were squashed this week with the announcement that the Joe Gibbs Racing driver will be returning to the No. 11 Toyota on a multi-year extension. Full terms of the deal were not disclosed. Hamlin issued a statement with the announcement, saying, "Joe Gibbs Racing has been my home for almost 20 years now. My relationship with Joe (Gibbs), my team, and everyone at JGR means a lot to me. We have accomplished so much together over the years. I'm excited to finally announce this so we can put all our focus on chasing the championship." Hamlin has amassed 50 career wins in the Cup Series while with Joe Gibbs Racing, two of which have come this season.--Jordan McAbee
