3 years agoDenny Hamlin was just a few laps from another victory -- this time at the Charlotte ROVAL. However, it was not meant to be that Kyle Larson and Tyler Reddick passed him. After that, Hamlin kept dropping. Despite this, the No. 11 car did find a way to fight back during the waning moments. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver snagged a fifth-place result after leading 25 laps on Sunday. Hamlin had already advanced to the Round Of 8 but he looked ready to win his third race of the playoff chase. That was not meant to be but Hamlin is in a good position as Texas looms next Sunday. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
