Denny Hamlin In Unique Position at Pocono
3 years agoDenny Hamlin starting in tenth almost makes him the forgotten man on Saturday. However, that may not be the case. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver is one of the better drivers on 2.5-mile tracks named Pocono. In his last six races there, the No. 11 has two wins and five top-ten results. His driver ranking is third behind Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick. Hamlin's ability to stay up near the front and avoid wrecks in the corners plays well here. His point lead is in serious jeopardy (ten points over Kyle Larson) and some expect him to contend on Saturday. Starting tenth should be a benefit in this case.
