Joe Gibbs Racing's Denny Hamlin finished in the 15th position in Sunday's Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway. Hamlin started in the seventh position and looked to win his third straight race at the 1.5-mile track. Hamlin won the race off of pit road to start the second stage and led 58 laps on his way to winning the second stage. After being shuffled out of the lead on pit strategy, Hamlin popped the wall, battling his teammate, Kyle Busch, for fifth. The damage forced Hamlin to bring his No. 11 down pit road to change his right rear tire, ending his chances of a three-peat. Hamlin and team would fight hard to get back on the lead lap, but the finish was disappointing for one of the championship favorites.--John Pitucci - RotoBaller
