Denny Hamlin Goes For Sixth Win At Martinsville
4 years agoJoe Gibbs Racing's Denny Hamlin will start from the fourth position in Sunday's Xfinity 500 at Martinsville Speedway. Hamlin comes into Martinsville needing a solid run despite his amazing 2020 season, as a win from someone currently in the bottom half of the playoff grid race can put Hamlin in a tight spot. Fortunately, Hamlin has been a master at the half-mile paperclip, winning five times and scoring 15 top-fives, and 21 top-10 finishes in 29 career starts. Hamlin's DFS salary is high but one of the lower prices among the high-end drivers. Uncharacteristically, Hamlin had an off-race in June, finishing three laps down in 24th, but it would be a surprise if the No. 11 team failed to perform in an important spot. Look for Hamlin to put in a strong performance and lock himself into the championship race.
