Denny Hamlin Earns Second Pole Of The Season
2 years agoDenny Hamlin utilized the second lap of qualifying to run the fastest lap on the day and edge Tyler Reddick for the pole position at Sonoma. He will lead the field to green at the Toyota/Save Mart 350 after posting a lap of 77.719 seconds around the 1.99-mile road course. The pole is his second on the season and the 38th of his career. Hamlin's practice speed makes him questionable to lead a lot of laps to start the race, especially with Reddick starting next to him. Hamlin's average finish at road courses over the last ten road course races is 16.2. He finished 31st last year at Sonoma.
