Dennis Smith Jr. Scores Team-High 19 Points In Thursday's Win
6 years agoNew York Knicks point guard Dennis Smith Jr. helped the team end a franchise-worst, 18-game losing streak with a 19-point effort on Thursday. He played a very efficient game in a 106-91 win against the Hawks, missing just three of his 10 shots and committing only one turnover in 32 minutes on the floor. Smith Jr. bagged seven dimes and also had one assist. His start as a Knick has been up and down, but the upside is there for all to see. New York will be back in action next Friday against Minnesota, who have done well in limiting opposing point guards from scoring, but they have allowed the second-most assists to them.
