Dennis Smith Jr. Bounces Back On Friday
6 years agoDallas Mavericks point guard Dennis Smith Jr. quickly recovered from a five-point dud he posted on Wednesday against the Lakers, going for 23 points on 8-for-14 shooting against the Knicks on Friday. He struggled from the free throw line, finishing only 5-for-10, but did some good work from outside, sinking half of his four triples. Bizarrely, he didn't record a single assist in the game, while giving up a season-high six turnovers in 32 minutes. His lack of other stats make him pretty unattractive in the fantasy world, but at least Smith Jr. has worked on his shot and he's getting 20-plus points consistently lately. He'll get the messy Wizards next on Tuesday in a nice looking matchup.
