DeMarcus Lawrence A "Long Shot" To Play On Monday Night In Week 14
18 hours agoDallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said on 105.3 The Fan on Monday that it's "probably a long shot" for defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence (foot) to play next Monday night in Week 14 against the Cincinnati Bengals, but it's also "not out of the question." "I certainly expect to see him sooner than later," Jones said. Head coach Mike McCarthy said last Friday that Lawrence is getting close to a return to practice, but that doesn't mean he'll be ready to go next Monday. The 32-year-old pass-rusher has been on Injured Reserve for the last eight games after suffering a right mid-foot sprain in the Week 4 win over the division-rival New York Giants. Even if Lawrence is activated and plays in Week 14, the Cowboys will most likely ease him back into action and put him on some sort of snap count, making him avoidable in IDP fantasy leagues.
