DeMarcus Cousins Efficient on Sunday
7 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans forward/center DeMarcus Cousins struggled offensively but picked it up elsewhere in the overtime win over New York on Sunday. Boogie played 45 minutes but struggled shooting, going 4-for-16 from the floor and 0-for-5 from deep for a total of only 15 points. While inefficient offensively, he made amends by yanking down 16 boards, nabbing away seven steals and blocking three shots. Cousins' inadequate scoring performance didn't seem to matter since forward/center Anthony Davis picked up the slack by dropping 48 points. However, things may be a little shaky for him once again on Tuesday, as the Pelicans will next meet up with the Celtics, one of the best defensive units in the league. Boston is the best team in the league against opposing big men, allowing only 12 points and 10 boards per outing this season. Though he will likely perform better than he did against the Knicks, at least offensively, it likely won't be anything beyond his season average of 25 points per game, making him a less than desirable DFS pick considering what his asking price will be.
