Dellin Betances’ Second Inning Woes Continue
7 years agoWhile All-Star reliever Dellin Betances has pitched better than he did early on in the season, one thing has become quite clear about how he should be used. The 30-year-old is starting to shown signs that using him for a second inning is not a good idea. In those three appearances, he’s surrendered six runs, taking the loss against Boston after allowing the go-ahead home run. Prior to his two most recent appearances, the native New Yorker had tossed four consecutive scoreless innings in relief.
